The truly disgusting thing about Sarah Palin isn't that she's totally unqualified, or a religious zealot, or married to a secessionist, or unable to educate her own daughter about sex, or a fake conservative who raised taxes and horked up earmark millions every chance she got. No, the most disgusting thing about her is what she says about us: that

America jumped the shark with Reagan. Now we're just waiting around for the inevitable cancelation. I'm hoping for a big finale that brings back all my favorite old characters like Henry Clay.

I know! It's so scary! And yeah, I also thought No way. People have to be laughing as hard as I am at the thought of her being on the ticket... and then I watched the news at some diner one night... and women were voting for her because her parts don't dangle. It's pretty disgusting.

Also, I thought the Daily Show coverage of her nomination was pretty funny, in case you want to laugh to keep from crying...

luckily the longer she's been in the public eye, the more people are realizing what a joke she truly is, and what a joke mccain is for picking her.

i certainly hope you're right about this.

occasionally i realize that i've been living in a liberal progressive bubble for most of my adult life and i actually have no clue what most of america thinks.

ive lived my entire life inside that bubble, and i constantly feel that disconnect.

still, she's clearly unqualified to be interviewed by katie couric, much to hold the second highest executive office in the land, and lots of republicans (media elites, but republicans) have taking notice and writing angry columns about it.
