Everyone has either been captured or has fled, except Merlin - now a spy in this invader's ranks. With mysterious resistances on the rise, prisoners held and prisoners lost, allies fleeting and enemies changing with every face, friends and foes start to blur together after a while, and it's all Merlin can do to keep them apart and save Camelot, and keep his heart intact through it all - or, at least, what little he has left of it, shattered as it was before. Merlin has to deal with castle politics, odd seduction, secret armies, Arthur enslaved, and magic, magic, everywhere. Because for a kingdom without magic, Camelot certainly has a lot of magic.
