I would have a hard time with Occlumency

Camped, hiked, and repelled in Swiss and Italian mountains and coasts.
Slept in a barn, jumped out of a barn.
    Repelled in a Croatian church.
Climbed to the top of cliffs, climbed to the top of climbing rocks in Redmond.

Hung out with Kyle and Katrina and their baby... Babysat other babies.
Taken two classes of summer school, been a beach bum for two weeks, surfed.
Slept in a two-person dorm with up to seven people for a week.
Road-tripped up the coast with Christine and Marple.

Acquired the following fees:
    $75 late dorm check-out fee.
    $45 beach parking ticket.
    $700 clutch.
    $300 alternator.
$44 movie parking ticket (Crash; Seattle zone 5).
    $425.35 cell phone bill.

Had the best surf session of my life so far in San Diego on the summer three day weekend we spend down at Jordan's house.
Jordan gave me a 4x dosage of X-Lax that day. When he told me in his room a day after, he got punched repeatedly.
I had suspected and asked him. He lied before. Through the teeth. Dave Yoon was in on it.

A bit before that, I lifted my best friend off a spiked fence that had suspended him in mid-air by the wrist, breaking it in several places. We spent months in Europe risking our lives on snowy ledges, and he breaks an arm in Jordan's back yard. We spent the night in the ER.

I live in the U-district under Taylor's house now. I get cheap rent and dinner is included. It's usually served around 6:30 or 7 if you want to come. It's a short commute to work and Harborview.

I got a raise at the Mill Creek View, so I'm putting in hours there again
I work full time at a sign shop in Shoreline these days. I sweep up sawdust, paint posts, and run deliveries in trucks and vans while listening to Harry Potter 5 on my iPod, which is now named "Peter," after the rabbit, instead of "iPod". I get off work by 4 each day.

Tomorrow will be my second day volunteering in the Intensive Care Unit at Harborview Medical Center. I'm doing 8 hours a week, and will be in the ER after the 11th. This is the major experience that will decide whether I major in Biology to be a missionary doctor for the rest of my life, or Computer Science/Art or Business to run my own design business or be a teacher of design.

About a month and a half ago, I fell for a girl at Pepperdine harder than I'd fallen for any girl in over five years. I got to know her for about five weeks, then asked her on a date.
    She laughed.
She said that was really funny.
And that she didn't really want it to be like that.

'K. Had to ask.

I said I wouldn't come by anymore. I'd see her next year.
She said if I changed my mind, I could come back.

In 23 hours, I came back.
She wouldn't talk to me anymore.
        And wouldn't.
        And still wouldn't.
And finally asked me to leave her alone.

So we haven't talked again.

So I've hit on a lot of girls since and now have a quasi-girlfriend.
A girl who studied an hour away from Florence last year, though I met her here.
And I've had that to look forward to this whole weekend. Having fun with that.

But the funniest thing has been happening this weekend:
Before I go to bed, I think of that girl I can't talk to anymore because I asked her on a date.
I think of being back in the five weeks before that.

I was pretty convinced.

If my quasi-relationshp lasts until the end of the summer, it will be the longest relationship I've ever been in. HA. Oh man.

Jordan the Canadian keeps sending mass e-mails from Malibu, and I keep not participating even though I said I would. He's in need of serious support right now, and I need to be there for him, but I don't call enough. Word to my friend Jordan, who doesn't read this. I'll call you tomorrow.

Life is good, no matter what happens. I'm hoping now that Michele's done with Fireworks, we'll be living together more, even though I work so much these days.

If Bethany reads this far, we should get coffee
