Yesterday I ran over six miles and today I ran two 8 minute miles and then two more miles right after. I felt better after each of those than I did after just two miles two weeks ago.

I decided I was tired of not having self-control, so I decided to start running for the sole sake of maintaining a habit, regardless of how fast or far I went, I just had to do at least a mile every other day. That turned into a mile or two a day, which turned into at least two miles a day, which now is starting to be a habit.

Having that one controlled habit makes it easier to get up on time, to say what I want to people, to be happy when I want to be, and to take breaks when I want to take breaks. I makes it easier to read about God, it makes it easier to make time for friends.

Self-control means getting what I want instead of what I feel like. I decided I was tired of getting what I felt like when the day felt crappy.

Awesome Alison. UF is sweet. A bunch of guys play in the field some nights when I'm out. I joined the time before last and had great flashbacks to the good ol' days.

P.S. Never shower.
