Daylight savings means the cat's up earlier than usual, annoyingly begging to be fed his breakfast. I tried to pretend to be asleep but that just made it worse somehow. I think that cat has extrasensory perception that allows him to know when I'm faking him out. If it wasn't happening to me I'd think that was the cutest most clever cat trick ever,

As for the window, there was impact so I'm thinking it was either a stone kicked up by a passing car or an idiot with a rock. There is roadwork nearby as well as bars so really, both options are as possible as the other.

Talking about dangerous, I caught squid with my bare hands once. It was in the frozen food section at the back of the grocery store. I dropped the bag and nearly bumped my head on the shelf when I tried to stop it from hitting the floor. ;-)

Oh, and on the fishing - it's called "noodling" and is one of those classic American stupid-but-apparently-fun things to do. Even made it on Dirty Jobs.

I'm having the same problems with my cat (see icon). The other cat just does her own thing but Crookshanks will climb on us, purr loudly, breath hard, etc. to get us up if his bowl is even a nibble short!

Heehee! It sounds to me like Crookshanks is the "Designated Annoyer" for the household.
