Starshine
G / 237 words / Kim Kibum (SHINee) ; Lee Jinki (SHINee)
kibum misses a lot of his old life. he can rarely hang out with his old buddies anymore and he almost never sees his family now.
kibum thinks his life was much simpler back when he was still in training. there were no crazy fangirls to please, no general audience to impress, and no expectations to live up to. back then, his day only had 24 hours. back then, he only had himself to send to school. back then, he could lie down and watch the stars at night. back then, he didn’t have to share his room with four other boys.
but kibum does not regret.
now, he has more hours to spend with the most important boys in his life. now, he has a good reason (excuse?) to practice his cooking skills. now, he not only watches the stars-he swims among them.
and on cold nights, he need not be alone.
he crawls under jinki’s sheets and curls up against jinki’s chest as he listened to their roommates’ even breathing. it’s stormy outside. the thunder scares him and he thinks jinki knows even if he doesn’t say it because it’s not long before he feels strong arms wrap around him.
(the others are asleep, he thinks, and so he brings his lips to jinki’s ear and whispers as quietly as he can,
before all this... ah, safer and smoother and smaller was my heart.)
