jinki doesn’t know if kibum knows because kibum keeps his mouth shut about it and it’s funny because kibum doesn’t shut up about anything he thinks is worth wasting his saliva on. perhaps kibum doesn’t know. perhaps kibum does know but he just doesn’t think it’s of significance. jinki doesn’t know and doesn’t plan to know because he doesn’t like asking questions he dreads the answers to.
they go around in circles because kibum acts as if he knows but keeps distance and jinki acts as if there’s nothing to know but keeps close and jinki is tired of circles. it’s not that he hasn’t thought of ending the charades (it’s not going anywhere anyway, he tells minho who only shakes his head and pats him on the back) because he has, really, only his hypothalamus apparently thinks it’s not a good idea.
he still gets those butterflies in his stomach every time kibum laughs softly, hits him lightly, and sharply comments, you’re such a dork, hyung.
jinki finds it wonderful terrifying amazing frustrating how every time he tries to walk away, all the roads he takes start to bend and turn at some point to lead him back to where he started-kibum's hair, kibum's eyes, kibum's lips, kibum's hands that brush his not-so-accidentally as they make their way on stage-and jinki ends up laughing because it’s all very ridiculous to him.
kibum asks, what’s so funny?
nothing, jinki replies and feels as if something is caught in his throat.

jinki nods, although he thinks it’s more of ‘stupid’ than ‘silly’. hmm. yes. maybe.
kibum smiles. see, that’s why i love you.
(and jinki then remembers minho telling him that perhaps his roads aren’t letting him go anywhere because he’s already in his destination.)
