* I'm sick of these commercials that show relatively slender people getting skinnier after taking diet pills. It's like advertising for anorexia.

* I'm also appalled that there's a McCain commercial with random people saying "I am Joe the Plumber." :::sigh:::

Other than that, and the fact that I need more hours in the day, life is great.

* The class I'm teaching (Intermediate Spanish I) is pretty good. I still had a few students moving in and out of the class (register/drop), but nonetheless the ones that have stayed have been pretty good. I'm watching one of those "Wildest Police Videos" shows on truTV, and they just showed a clip of abused meter maids in London. Basically, the citizens who received parking tickets were allowed to treat the meter maids any way they wanted to without fear of retaliation.
