I had a big test this past Friday. I had to wander around in the woods finding objectives with a map and compass. My test for Land Navigation was an all day event, and we are given 8 hours to find 10 objectives

There's scary stuff out here in the desert, too. My dad told me a story yesterday about how he found a 5-inch long scorpion in a cabinet at his work that was killed by a sizable Black Widow. The only reason he found it was because the spider's eggs hatched overnight Thursday, and all of the babies created webs spanning 3 student computer stations at the high school he works at. Scary stuff...
