The wind feels good. It is fresh and slightly cold, but Jinki feels as if he can breathe again. He closes his eyes and feels, he feels the air hitting his face and making his hair flutter in all directions. He listens and he hears nothing except the rushing of the ocean, the car’s* soft hum and Jonghyun’s beautiful, clear voice.
Here we go, come with me,
There's a world out there that we should see,
Take my hand, close your eyes
Jinki joins him, stretching his arms in the air, his shirt’s sleeves fluttering in the wind and Jonghyun taps the beat on the steering wheel. Jinki doesn’t know the song, but he just sings along with his horrible mumbled English. It must sound strange, the both of them with their accent and random words thrown into the song but for Jinki it’s imperfectly perfect, beautiful and he laughs out loud. Jonghyun glances at him and grins, his eyes sparkle and his hair is a brown mess on top of is head and Jinki thinks he could continue staring at him for the rest of his life, that he could drown in those brown orbs, in this voice.
Let's fly, fly, fly, flyyy.
Jinki grins back, his eyes forming into half moons and he runs a hand through his hair, the other leaning on the cabrio’s door. Jonghyun fixes his gaze back on the road, but reaches a hand out to touch Jinki’s calf and the elder intertwines their fingers, the smoothness of Jonghyun’s skin making butterflies flutter in his stomach.
You make me feel like I could touch the planets
And this is a moment Jinki wants to never end, he wants it to last forever, so that he can always feel this happiness, the freedom, the butterflies. He wants Jonghyun to be there with him forever, he wants to feel his hands in his forever and to hear his voice forever. He wants the wind to never stop hitting his face and the ocean to never stop rushing like that. He wants it to be the two of them in this car, on this road, alone with the radio on. And sometimes he wishes he could kidnap time.
