DISCLAIMER: I don't have a whole lot of music. Maybe ~150 songs all in all, some of questionable quality because my taste in music is 'IF SOMEONE GIVES IT TO ME AND IT SOUNDS PRETTY I WILL PUT IT ON SHUFFLE 8D.' That said, I do listen to certain songs when I play certain characters, and try to sort them out accordingly here. ♥ Sometimes what the song is about has absolutely nothing to do with the character, but the tone tends to match his or her personality in my head.
ALBERT - mildly tragic, hints of nostalgia, a molding into something harder. Strong character, mentally and psychologically, able to bend his extreme principles enough to save lives when someone important asks it of him, and at the end of it all, a ruthless but not evil bastard who paid a price for the person he is today.

ABEL/ALBERT - not perfect by a long shot, has some pretty enormous bumps and issues, but at the same time is okay, something that's good for them both but also something that, sadly, can't last any length of time, since one day they'll have no choice but to go back to their own worlds and fight their own fights.

SETH - her songs cover nine hundred years, so there's a larger variation here than in the other lists. The songs are in rough chronological order. Nostalgia and fear in the Night Lords; a lifetime of deceiving people and a hundred different roles played in the creation of her Empire; the Methuselah whom she watches and loves, despite everything; the strength of Crusnik. You have the Seth who is indestructible yet eerily sing-song and playful in her anger, the Seth who likes people and making friends and flustering the hell out of them with choice remarks, and the Seth who at bottom has been alive and keeping things going for centuries, who is tired and knows that what she stands for is coming to an end even as she fights for something new, who holds the past in her heart and wishes that she and Abel could have hopeful futures.
Abel gave me 'Celebration Guns' as a Seth song, and I tend to think of it as her funeral march, the one that might be played when the Empire finally falls.

SHITO - DEPRESSING AND RELATIVELY OLD SONGS, but wistful ones that have a hope of change, because Shito in Zombie-Loan is someone who has been dead on the inside for a long time and is in the process of that same change as the series progresses. 'Because of You' pretty much covers his roaring angst and occasional retardation, too.

ANTUBIS - 'Red Dragon Tattoo' is one of Kingdom Hospital's theme songs, and plays at crucial and totally inappropriate moments, much like the anteater. 8D Antubis is also a creature of the infinite, and not quite a human one: he lasts and he changes, rather than ending, he thinks and prioritizes in a different way, and yet there are certain things he holds dear while they're there for him and reflects on when they've faded. Time is Antubis's slow game, and people are his pieces, but he's certainly capable of becoming affectionate, if not attached.

HONLON - most difficult to find songs for, especially because not many cover her three personalities at once. 'Cat Heaven' is her Chris song, because when she cares about someone she can develop a kind of unity and she's also pretty silly about him--they're both so young. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is the only one I have that reflects just how much she can skip around from one thing to the other.
