[Video turns on to reveal Kenta curled up in a miserable ball in a corner of his and L's room, crazed scribblings across the wall behind him; knees pulled up to his chest and eyes shut tight, hands over his ears. He's rocking back and forth, silent tears streaming down his cheeks, one of which is faintly bruised

[L's voice is high and wild, and he's certainly not sparing the accusations.]

They're hurting me! They're hurting me, and you can stop them! I can't believe you're choosing not to, they're killing me slowly and it hurts...

[Tears still falling, Kenta crawls across the floor to L, crouching beside him to touch his face gently for a moment before hooking his hands under L's shoulder and pulling him up onto the bed (boiling floor or not, a bed is going to be kinder on his back in the long run).

He curls over L in a defeated, hunched posture, petting his hair, his face, trying desperately to quiet him kindly. A few tears fall onto L's face.]

[As adorable as that is, it doesn't seem to quiet L very much. He has nothing to hit his head against now except pillows, which aren't conducive to inducing unconsciousness unless he wants to take it the slow, relaxing, traditional way. You know, falling asleep. Clearly, he doesn't. He twists, his back arching, sticky with sweat from hours of struggling. He strains against his bonds, too physically exhausted to put up a huge fight but trying his damndest.]

I want them to stop. Please... please make them go away, I can't take it, they're cutting off my fingers and feeding them to spiders...

[Damn, if Kenta can't soothe the L beast with his adorkable wiles, what CAN he do? He tries covering L's mouth with his hand, careful not to hinder his nose's breathing passage any.]
