Why are their so many different religions? And yet they all claim to be true

This is a common question in dealing with why someone should follow a certain belief. The question has real teeth to its bite because every culture seems to have a chosen religion. How should someone of faith answer that? Despite their strong belief in the teachings of Buddha, for example, they still have to think about why isn't Mohammed true also ( Read more... )

many religious derive from similar beginnings or stories, the way the rest of the religion evolves depends on how the culture accepts and interprets them. The stories and beliefs passed on from there are based on the cultures values. It's just different descriptions and such of similar ideas.
