Just came back from seeing Indy 4, and I had some coffee late so now I don't know if I'll be going to sleep any time soon. spellingwitch and gaminette were there, as were my cousins and my brother and a couple of their friends

I didn't know many spoilers for Indy, but your review is pretty much how I felt.
However, I definitely didn't enjoy Prince Caspian more. I was rather unimpressed with Prince Caspian. I felt the movie was less emotionally gripping than the first one. I didn't really care much about the Prince and it seemed that the old gang of kings and queens had less at stake. *shrug* Not to say I was a greatest fan of Narnia, but it was decent movie. I never had read the Narnia books, and since the books' author was friends with Tolkien, I expected something on par with LOTR. That was a terrible expectation. LOTR is epic and Narnia is just a kids story.
If anything, I liked it a bit more just for the better (IMHO) pacing. I liked it better than the first one for some reason. Perhaps the lack of Mr. Tumnus who unfortunately gave off a creepy vibe in the film, helped. I know that wasn't supposed to be the case, but it was creepy in the movie.
Overall I thought the first film was entertaining but not earth shattering, so I was expecting about that for this one. So my expectations weren't that high, especially not up to LotR standards. That probably made a difference in my enjoyment of the film maybe. :)
Yeah, the refrigerator thing was rather ridiculous, wasn't it?
The gopher thing starting off the movie was odd too. I wasn't sure if it was the movie or a trailer for some comedy spoof.
The worst thing though was the Tarzan crap. The other stuff was short so I sorta forgot about it as the movie went along, but the Tarzan thing was long and ridiculous and fake and... just why, man? Of course, I'm used to George Lucas and his odd decisions. At least I didn't want to walk out of the movie theater like I did during ESB: SE... for a moment during that movie I almost freaked and walked out. So nothing here was quite as bad... Of course ESB is my favorite film of all time so I guess I was a bit more sensitive to the GL madness...

Still not over Lucas fucking around with CGI creatures. For god's sake it's INDIANA JONES not TARZAN.
...and I am still fangirling over John Hurt ^_^
