The arc-angel is an excellent gift idea for Mr. Goldmahker. Sus got the clip point (96BSC) for my wedding gift. I'd suggest the same blade style for my co-conspirator of old.

Alternatively, I can strongly recommend the Moro Barong, the Chinese War Sword, or the Warrior Series Wakazashi.
