Basic Stuff
Name: M.
Age: Sweet seventeen!
Sex (not the recreational kind): Female
Your Personality
How would you describe yourself? Charming, charismatic, blindingly optimistic, outgoing, eccentric, childish, & unconventional.
How would others describe you? Aloof, forgetful and therefore wildly unreliable, social, interesting, child-like, and charmingly strange.
What are you passionate about? Rather, what are some things you enjoy? I'm passionate about life, sincerely and truly. I'm passionate about making people happy, too, in any way that I can! I'm a fashion student that tries to make clothes that aren't just there to make people look good but instead to make them truly happy - the kind of dresses that catch your breath and make you feel like the chandelier in the middle of the room when you put them on. I'm passionate about the little things, really - old books and movies that make you laugh and cry at the same time and lip gloss that smells like strawberries and chocolate banana parfaits with extra whipped cream. Things like that. :>
What are some things that get on your nerves? What could you do without? Rudeness, bigotry, people who lack respect for other people and the world around them, "magazine fashionistas" (people who follow trends blindly and don't actually have their own sense of style), close-mindedness, and people who lack true passion and just do things for money.
Do you have any talents? What are you good at? As far as I'm concerned, I'm as good at sewing and writing as I need to be! I also have this really neat knack that allows me to pick up just about anything and master it pretty quickly, whether it be learning Japanese or playing the piano.
What are you not so good at? Remembering things, following social conventions, and showing up on time!
Relationships
What do you look for in a significant other? Physically? Mentally? I tend to look for a spark in people - a kind of interesting passion that makes them different from everyone else. It's kind of hard to explain, but I like people who have direction, even if they don't! Someone who throws themselves wildly in one direction and hopes that maybe it'll work out, but it's okay if it doesn't - if that makes any sense! Kindness is a must, too, but I'm okay with boys who seem a bit coarse on the outside - my loverboy of almost four years is like that and I couldn't possibly love him any more. All of the boys that I've ever been interested in have this kind of intensity about them, too, this seriousness that makes them unapproachable to any others but myself. I love that to death! But physically, I'm a sucker for tall, thin boys - dark hair is pretty cute, too.
"Love" -- how do you look at it? I like to think of myself as being equal opportunity in love - I love my car, I love my mom, I love my dresses, and I love my loverboy, but I couldn't love one more than any other. They're all incredibly important to me, and there's no way that I could just point at one of them and say "That, that's true love"!
Which gender is more appealing to you? Why? In terms of relationships, definitely boys. I love how uncomplicated they are. Girls worry and complain and compare and break their own hearts, while boys are just wild and free. There's something to be said in that.
How do you view friendship? I don't have that many true friends, but I kind of wish that I did! For being an incredibly social person, I tend to end up having a lot of people that I know but few that I know very well and I don't think that's what friendship is all about. Friendship is just the same as love!
Given a choice, would you prefer many acquaintances or few friends? A few friends. There's something magical about having someone to go to at times of hardship - someone who understands you completely and puts up with all of your madness!
Family, friends, lovers, possessions, careers. What order would you put these, from highest to lowest priority? Family, Lovers, Friends, Possessions, Careers.
Are you more faithful or more cynical of others? Incredibly faithful. I'm hardly cynical about anything!
Other Stuff
A picture is optional, but what of your looks?
I don't have any recent photos of myself where I'm not in costume! (Say hello to an avid cosplayer.) This isn't super recent, but I promise I look the same. :>
Have you ever thought about design? How do you feel about it? I'm actually a fashion design student, so I suppose I've thought about it quite a bit! I'm incredibly passionate about what I do, too, and will follow it wherever it takes me!
Would you/do you fit into a stereotype? If so, how? If not, why? I think I definitely fit into the "eccentric" stereotype, if that's even a stereotype at all!
Do you have a set style? Haha - absolutely not! My design style is whimsical and bright and gauzy and sweet, and my personal style pretty much rotates through everything I love. Some days I'm super conservative with just a pair of jeans, some mary-janes, and a button-up and others I'm wearing nothing but tulle petticoats and super-lacy dresses.
Would you say you're more logical or imaginative? Absolutely imaginative. I'm logical about very little!
Could you sum up who you are in a single song? "Raw Sugar" by Metric. It's my favorite and I don't think any song could capture me any better. :>
What are (some of) your favorite lyrics? I met her in a club down in old Soho where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola
C-o-l-a cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance - I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola
L-o-l-a lola la-la-la-la Lola
