The last month or so has been interesting. I finally got to see The Cat Empire in concert. Twice in the space of five days. Once in New York City, Central Park. The other in Providence. It's been two years since I was first foiled on my way to see them, and they were even better than I had imagined. The energy was incredible and we all had an ( Read more... )

Oh god, I loved the skypirates. Loved the whole thing, to the point where I'm actually seriously thinking about going to see it again tonight. I NEVER go to movies in the theatre more than once.

I agree, I might actually go back and see it in the theater again. And I too never do that.

Hiking sounds so good... when my state stops burning I will grab Jim and go forth and hike the desert. Until then, there's always Mr. Bicycle.

(Why is none of my stuff a Miss? Am I secretly enamored of the idea of legions of men in finely tailored suits serving my every whim? Hmmm...)

Nothing wrong with that. An eminently sensible desire.

Oooh.. I'm dying to see Stardust. In fact, I think I shall do so today.

Hiking is awesome. I hadn't been in a while and then my brother came to visit from the west coast and even though he's a lazy bum, I manages to con him into going up the local mountain with me.

I'm so out of shape I was panting and sweating the whole way up but when we got there.. oh god! It was fantastic. The view, the breeze, the millions of trees swaying below me... I don't know why I ever stopped.

Yeah, when I actually remember to bother it's absolutely brilliant. It's just that whole remembering thing. I love going up to various clearings and summits and just looking out at the rolling hills around me, or down towards the harbor and seeing the water. It's cool. I'm lucky to have a bunch of options around here as well.
