OK, so the NaNoThesisMo thing totally didn't work out for me because I fully didn't take into account the intellectually and temporally devastating quantity of marking I would have to do this month. Heh, I suspected it would be like that. I've never played any GW games and know nothing of the mechanics, but their art teams always produce striking imagery. Although there was a rawness the older stuff that I'm not sure is totally there anymore.

Blizzard copped the same back in the day what with Warcraft being seen by some as Dune II with orcs. Questions of inspiration being as they may, they're one of the few outfits putting out AAA games that I think deserve to be called AAA. Mind you, it must be nice to have squillions of dollars and the ability to indefinitely delay deadlines while retaining good faith from both your corporate and customer masters.

I know they're related and the 'order' is a bit more complicated than that - I was just saying other companies enjoy similar advantages but don't come up with the goods as often.

And yeah, it definitely isn't theft, but if I were a GW artist or staffer I couldn't help but feel a bit weird about it.
