So, most of you know I sew. It would be nice to style myself a seamstress, but in reality I have nowhere near the chops to self-apply such a title. I'm just a woman with intermediate sewing skills.

Random unrelated but kinda related: I have a pair of enameled steel cups from Best Made Co that were made in a factory that started in 1907 and made on world war II era machinery (that still runs great). I know it's just a perception, but there's pleasure to be found in owning and using things like that.

I'm happy to be living in this age of technological advances... I mean, 100 years ago a simple infection in a limb would warrant possible amputation! Even so, I'm thankful I can preserve some of those bygone values vis a vis my furniture and appliances. :)
