I like this post! I think it is very cool that you spoke up and followed thru. I am trying to get up the nerve to go to the ladies gym up the road and sign up. I want to use the rowing machines. (I think)
I strongly recommend you do it! Gyms are actually easier for me. The way I see it, most of the people there are just there to work out... they don't care who's sweating on the next machine or what they look like. At a women's gym it would be even less daunting, imho. (The only reason I've never joined a women's gym is the cost. Co-ed gyms seem to be less expensive.)
The ladies gym is actually pretty cheap, only 14.99$ a month . When I did yoga is was over 100$ month!! I found yoga difficult because everyone there was judgemental. Plus y'know my knees dont work. Im more scared about my knees than anything else. I just feel scared when it is new.

Please tell me you're going to follow up with the PE Department and urge them to revise this slip? Or talk to the administration? Or something?
Great blog post btw--I feel you!
