A/N: They're not so screwed. Right?
She just sat there, hands soothing her phone’s screen and eyes staring nowhere in particular. The clock ticks, boy it ticks so loudly, each tick tightens her stomach, pulling her closer to the reality.
There were knocks on the door, and she couldn’t get herself to move. Eyes still staring, this time, particularly at the doorknob.
It twisted open.
“Sica?” she looked up, biting her bottom lip. Hesitantly, the girl walked in, and closed the door with such light force.
“A-a are you ready? D-do you need more time?” she fixed her gaze, moving her sight straight into Yuri’s eyes.
She stared a bit more, hands still soothing her phone screen. Yuri kept her pose; she seemed too determined to get this over with.
She stood up, placing her phone in her pocket, “No. It’s fine. Let’s do this.”
“O-okay. The car’s ready for us outside.” She nodded and picked up her handbag.
She let out a huge sigh.
A wave of questions came to her mind as she looked at Yuri.
How is she going to break the ice to her parents? Which news should she break it down to them first? Should she start with she’s gay? And that she’s dating Yuri? Or should she start with informing them that she’s been sexually active with a girl? Or maybe, she should start with her being pregnant? That the child is Yuri’s, follows with the fact that her girlfriend is a hermaphrodite?
Maybe she’ll sort out her mind when they get there.
She looked at Yuri in the eyes. This time, Yuri gulped.
Because no matter how immune she is to Jessica’s stares, this one has been the scariest of them all.
And she left the room shivering; she has never seen Jessica so scared.
Family gathering with the Jungs has never sounded so horrifying.
Well, up until now.
