Ahhh, reminds me of my college move-in days (although we had no dorm brigade to help us!). I remember on one trip we borrowed someone's pick-up with a cap and half-way down to Columbus we realized the back window of the cap was open. Nothing of mine fell out, but when my mom got to my aunt's house (where she was spending the night), she couldn't find her nightgown. Apparently, she had just rolled some underwear and toiletries into one of her nightgowns and stuffed it between some of my stuff. Talk about finding something interesting on the side of the road!
The whole experience has definitely taken me back as well. (The dorm brigade was sheer brilliance, especially at a college that teaches the ways of Christ. They never had that at Liberty, which almost made me ashamed...) As far as traveling memories, there's an armadillo somewhere in Arkansas that may still be wearing my Jets t-shirt from our high school production of West Side Story, which I lost off a tremendously overloaded Toyota pick-up truck on my first move from Ohio to Texas. But an opossum in your mother's nightgown? That trumps me... ;^)
Let's set it to a country-music twang...there's an armadillo...in Arkansas...wearing my ol' t-shirt. There's a 'possum in Ohiiiiiio wearing Mama's nighty-night skirt..."
