Long time no LJ

Nov 14, 2005 08:10

Working five part-time jobs is not fun! But, by staying incredibly busy, I don't find myself angsting over what my new contract with Sight & Sound will be. I was kind of hoping for it to come on Friday; but when I stopped to get stamps at the post office, I remembered it was Veteran's Day and there would be no mail. Of course, that was after I'd ( Read more... )

Long time no hear. While moving the parking is always a good idea, you might want to revisit the--you don't eat/DRINK anything that has left your hand. Your date can pay for it, but if its not delivered to your table --you go get it. Worked for me.

Thanks! We will definitely revisit the "You don't eat or drink anything that you haven't prepared yourself or that hasn't been served to you and hasn't left your hand" rule, but get this -- they think this particular drug is administered by kissing! Don't ask me how: the EMT told the girls there are several date drugs in PA circulating now that the medical community hasn't even figured out. Scary! I'm not worried about Kate -- she's pretty level headed -- but this friend of hers is rather promiscuous and naive -- a bad combination. Thanks for your concern...

could be a liquid they let dry over chapstick or any of the new lipsticks--all they have to do is match the color of thier lips

My, aren't we savvy... How do they get it so it doesn't affect them?

So sorry to hear about your daughter's friend. That is a horrible thing to have happen but it will (hopefully) make everyone else more vigilant! With any luck they will all learn form her incident and hers will be the ONLY one! (one can pray for it, right?!)

Wow, sounds like you have been pretty busy!!!!

Good for you on staying busy and keeping up that positive attitude (I have known a lot of people who work a bunch of jobs and then complain that they work to much, some people just love to complain I guess).

Keep it up!!!

Good luck in the move and contract-getting.

Thanks! Yeh, the days have been flying by, but it's all (for the most part) good stuff, and I know it's just for a season. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and knowing it's not another train keeps me smiling. Thanks again for the well-wishes. Will keep you posted.

Between you and seph_ski, you have me wondering if I have things we will be jettisoning that could fetch a little something on eBay, but I am so non-savvy about that whole thing. I used eBay once to procure an antique Bingo cage for my parents for Christmas, but I've never tried to sell anything there -- figured the shipping would be too costly and time-consuming and eat up my profits. Plus, I've got no idea what sort of things we'd have around here that would even fetch a pretty penny. Feel free to debunk my fears.

Debunking! :) felicity_chan November 15 2005, 22:24:43 UTC
*grins* You never know!!!

The nice thing about shipping is you have the option to charge the buyer for the total shipping and handling cost which is what I always do. Most sellers that I've bought from do.

If you can give me an idea of what you're getting rid of, I can debunk further! :)

I also do consignment selling as part of my business (I've done some for several folks on my LJ friends list)...shoot...if I had a car, I'd come down and do a consignment visit. And please, don't feel any pressure!!

But anyway, let me know what you're jettisoning and I'll debunk and we can work from there, even me giving you advice. :)

When I know what we're jettisoning, I will let you know. Do books do anything on eBay? Where does Amazon get their used books?
