[Wybie's in the library, doing some research. Just out of interest, of course, nothing to do with the alligator eggs he's hiding in his room. Nope. He's writing down some notes in his journal]

- Baby alligators have an egg tooth to help them out of their eggs when they hatch.
- Alligators usually grow to 13 feet long, weighing 800 pounds.
- The average lifespan for an alligator is 50 years.
- Alligators live in a freshwater environment.
- Young alligators eat fish, snails, insects and worms. Adults eat large fish, turtles, mammals, birds and other reptiles.
- The incubation period of an alligator is usually 65-70 days.
-The sex of the offspring is determined by the temperature in the nest.
