[Backdated to early afternoon, dictated, sounding... crankily smug, more or less.] Hah! I knew it was going to get insanely, miserably hot. So hot... so hot, I'm melting. I'm meeeelting. I'm going to sink into the ground, dissolve into water and minerals and proteins, and water the grass. And proteinate the grass. It's too hot to do anything else.

Anyway, you know what? If I'm overheating just me, imagine what all the animals around here must be feeling like. All our poor Pokémon! Tad even likes the head, and he only wants to flop around and do nothing. And speaking of Pokémon, did you know there are still some sneaking around? I am putting food out for an Absol. I will befriend this Absol or die trying, and since no one dies for keeps around here, my eventual success is more or less inevitable. Unless I go home first, I guess.
Anyway! Tad, c'mere, boy. Let's get some more of that coat off of you. I will brush you until you are a sleek and shining fire-tiger-dog!

[and then Rin makes more squeaky wheezing noises. guess who just got gently tackled by her. like. 600-pound Arcanine. :| if you come out in front of the castle, you will see them rolling around and Rin trying to brush him. there is a lot more Arcanine fur stuck on Rin's robes than there is in the brush.]
