[ this is a kitchen post, DEAL WITH IT. alistair is in the kitchen, staring at the microwave as it does its thing, he's trying to cook a hot pocket you see, but being someone who has no real experience with technology of any kind it isn't going so well. if you look at the bench beside him you'll see at least three black things that were once hot pockets...
yeah, he doesn't understand the significance of the temperature setting and the time setting...

Aha! It's done, right? [ he doesn't care if he is talking to himself, he presses the button to open the door (it's the only thing he can do right) and is assaulted by a short burst of black smoke and the smell of one very very burnt hot pocket.
