Six months...
...
I can't believe... how bad it's felt. I can't believe how tired I feel...
[a pause, and then she kind of gulps.] Itachi is gone. Yukari is gone again. Legato Bluesummers came to the outpost because he needed sanctuary and left with the man that hurt him, happily. Riful threatened us and left us without doing real harm, but it might have been only a feint and I doubt we'll be so lucky again.
How many mistakes have I made? How many things have I failed at? Have I made a difference here that's important for anyone at all...? Or has it all just been a waste of my time?
Why can't anyone who's a problem here ever leave?
I wish Zexion was still here.

A Brief List for People Who are Bored in Paradisa
in other words, suggestions for things that you an do, arranged in a list roughly according to danger, with a final say at the end
→read the whole journal. Connect on what's going on and what's happened before you.
→write a story.
→paint a picture (or just draw it).
→plant a small garden (I find homegrown tomatoes to be especially lovely, you can keep them around your room)
→fly a kite.
→learn to play an instrument.
→learn a language.
→learn to make a ship in a bottle.I want to do this. Does anyone here know how to do it? They look so delicate and pretty.
→learn to be a chef.
→invent a new meal.I've done this one! [with Itachi, baw. ;~;] You take this thing called a marshmallow, toast it until it's crispy over a fire, and then stick it on some chocolate and sweet crackers so it's like a sandwich. It's quite amazing when you're done.
→rearrange your room.
→slide down the castle banisters.
→explore the whole castle! How many special rooms do you know?
→explore the town.
→learn to swim (if you don't know how).
→ask for training in hand to hand.
→ask for training with a weapon.
→ask for someone to teach you nearly anything.
→learn to use a cell phone.
→learn to use a computer.
→learn to drive.
→learn woodwork.
→learn metalsmithing.
→obtain several tigers from the castle, shut them and yourself up in the Insolitus to hunt and be hunted(words of advice: count all the tigers first and make sure you clear them all out, other people are in the Insolitus to after all).Although I would hope you would just wrestle them. Killing them for no real reason is a bit churlish, to be frank.Anyway, you could probably just chase around the monster alien who lives in there and not bother with big cats, if you're really into that kind of thing.
→organize a tournament (you might not think that's dangerous, but think about the people that live here and I think you'll see what I mean).
→challenge everyone in the castle who likes that kind of thing to arm wrestling.
→challenge Allen to an eating contest.
→learn some ninja techniques for when you might be in a pinch.
→learn first aid (around here, you never know when this could be a SERIOUS help).
→learn to juggle.
→learn to dance.
→go knock on the door next to yours, and get to know your neighbor.
Feel free to contribute further suggestions.

[dictated, now, in a calm tone.]
Or here's one more option: we've started looking into dead zone exploration. Recently I asked Tony Stark to draw up a design for a hot air balloon that would be as modern, efficient, and reliable as he could make it.
The designs are done. Now all we need is people willing to help build some of these balloons.
Would any of you be willing to pitch in?
[people who care]
[dictated. sounding a bit low, this time.]
I'd just like to let you all know that I'm going to be doing some work out in the dead zone here, and it's going to take me out of the outposts pretty much for... well, we'll see. Maybe days at a time.
I'm letting you all know because if you want to visit, you should let me know ahead of time. If I know you're coming out, I'll make sure to be around.
[people who knew Itachi]
For those of you who were acquainted with him... [a pause.] Uchiha Itachi has returned home.
[Stephanie & Cassandra]
Want to go get some dinner with me? I'm headed back out to the outposts tomorrow.
[and now... if you waded through all that text (good for you!), after the wedding, Rin has changed out of her bridesmaid's dress into a long, loose skirt and blouse, and she's running her Arcanine and putting him through some exercises, out in front of the castle.
in fact, it appears she's directing him with a small white paper folding fan. if you're coming in or out, depending on who you are, you might become an obstacle for Tad to be directed around :>]
