[Mal is in the Peace Patrol HQ, because she figures it's time she actually checked this place out. It took her a while out figure out the elevator, too. She was planning on sitting down and trying to work out how her Peaceberry worked without an imp powering it, but a delicious scent she can't ignore has distracted her.
So anyone in the HQ can find her staring at the Patrol's espresso machine with the same sort of expression you'd see in black and white vampire movies, with the Creature of the Night stalking a young maiden...or in this case, an espresso.
She KNOWS that thing has coffee in it. She can SMELL it. But there are many buttons. Horrible, accused Earthly buttons keeping her from her prey. Rather annoyed by this, she'll open her journal]
