[It had been over a month now, and Cordelia was still made of plastic. Angel had hoped that this loss of hers wouldn't last longer than the few weeks that he'd been told was standard, but it didn't look like that was going to be the case. Part of him wondered whether or not Cordy's permanent loss had changed the way that Spike's had--but a larger part didn't even want to consider that option. As it was, he had been to the beach more times in the past few weeks than he had in the past few centuries. He'd enlisted the help of everyone who he knew had ties to Cordelia to help him out, and still sat through just about every chick flick you could imagine. Basically, he was running out of options here.

The bright side? He wouldn't have to spend tonight curled up on the sofa while he and mannequin!Cordy sat through another one of the movies that Harmony had recommended. The castle itself appeared to be providing the entertainment this evening, what with everyone randomly bursting into song (and possibly dance? He hadn't seen any dancing yet, but the night was still young). For this reason, Angel and Cordelia could be found camped out in the lobby, just sort of people watching with his journal sitting open on the table in front of them. Sure, there was always the chance that he would bust out a Manilow song or something, but it wouldn't exactly be the first ti--

--...was that a singing cockroach? These are the sounds of him momentarily abandoning his plastic date to take a closer look]

[the damn elevator was too slow. she uses the time to check and recheck her crossbow, anxiousness building up in her. there's a slight bounce to her stance as she shifts her weight, watching the numbers go down. she thought the building had more floors than fourteen... maybe she hadn't been paying attention. who cares, she knew her target was at the bottom of this elevator ride and he'd probably be confused. that forehead of his wrinkling up in confusion like a wounded puppy that got kicked down the stairs.

he thought he knew her. thought he could figure out just how she ticked. he was in for a surprise.

the elevator dings and she steps out into the lobby, eyes scanning the room until she spots him. it's one fluid motion and she raises the crossbow, letting the bolt fly across the distance toward Angel's back]

[And suddenly the singing cockroach didn't seem as important as the crossbow bolt speeding toward his back. In one fluid movement Angel is spun around, catching the arrow mid-flight with less than an inch to spare. Yeah, those enhanced vampire senses and abilities were definitely a nice thing to have sometimes. Unfortunately, he's too stunned by both the fact that Faith is standing across the lobby, crossbow in hand--not to mention the severe case of deja vu that this whole scenario brings with it to really make any sort of worthwhile response]

Faith.

[she just grins, wide and damn-near smug]

That was so cool.

[she smirks at him and tips her head]

This is gonna be --

[then as she turns around, she wonders where the HELL she is...]

...fun.

[she snaps out of the confusion long enough to push through the crowd of people and head toward those doors. even if she doesn't know where she is, she knows that outside is always better than indoors]

[Worst case scenario? Check. While his immediate response is to start after her, Angel remembers that Cordelia is still standing there defenseless in the lobby and he really doesn't trust this place enough to leave her and just hope she's still there--or even still in one piece when he gets back. Getting the word out via journal was just going to have to do for the time being. At the very least, people should know that there's a dangerous slayer stalking the halls who looks like someone that a lot of them were friendly with not two weeks ago]

We've got a problem. Faith's back, and she just tried to kill me.

I realize that some of you knew her previously, but this isn't the same Faith that we're dealing with here. She's...

[unstable?]

...volatile. Moreso than usual. I don't recommend approaching her unless you're me.

[ooc; Angel. Faith. Mannequin!Cordy and cockroach!Hank both get(s) a cameo. ♥ ]
