[ Needless to say, Beatrice had already taken in her surroundings--has already used her magic to roam around the castle quietly.

So, she understands enough. But, not enough. However, she won't ask anyone for help, instead-- ]

Come. Shall we play a game?

[ eta; tags will be slowish. lj isn't cooperating with me :x ]

I hope not. This is clearly something one cannot do at a glance. The formula behind this puzzle is quite brilliant.

[god what the fuck is this he's so confused but he is determined to figure this out!!]

Nothing less should be expected! After all, you have been given a puzzle by someone well known for their riddles and puzzles.

... .... [ vaaaague pause here ] Two family members were killed within a room. There was a chain lock on that door. No human could enter, nor leave.

... Tell me. Was such a crime possible to commit by mere human means?

[N is too innocent for umineko so he's mulling over the dumbass, battleresque possibilities right now. maybe they took some small bombs and--]

That is quite a mystery. I don't suppose the perpetrator was hiding in the room until it was unlocked and the investigation concluded?

No, that's wrong. There were no other humans within that place at the time.

And there are no trap doors in this room? Everything is simply as you say? A room with one entrance and exit, no windows-- and the one means to escape was locked from the inside?

[this is so hard.]
