[That is the noise one makes when choking on a scream. Instead of screaming, little cracks appear all over him that widen and branch until he finally crumbles into a pile of terrified speechless pink dog.]

Are you feeling at all better? You were quite loud a moment ago; it was somewhat troubling, to say the least. As odd as this place may be, it is not often that the residents go around shouting in such a manner.

Do not worry! I am sure you did not trouble anyone too greatly, so I doubt it was an inconvenience to anyone.

I must admit, I have never spoken with a dog capable of speaking before. Is that common in your world?
