7 notebooks filled; written/action

[this morning finds Ray in the lobby, a pile of books beside him on the couch as he watches everyone mill around. occasionally, he'll scribble in a notebook in his lap if someone particularly interesting wanders past ... he's collecting character descriptions. after a minute, he'll reach for one of the other books, meaning to grab his plot ( Read more... )

Hey, the murder can totally happen right away in the plot! I always liked it more when the mystery got straight to business and then used the murder to develop and reveal things about the characters to make them more interesting!

Hmmmm, that's not such a bad idea. I might give it a shot, see if it plays out with the rest of the plot. I don't want to stretch it too thin, though. Y'know?
