[There's a slight gasp as Vereesa opens her eyes and realizes that she is not where she was moments ago.

In fact, she doesn't recognize where she is at first, which is alarming in itself. She sits up and sucks in a bit of breath. Her muscles ache for reasons she doesn't recall, and when she tries to speak her throat is a little dry.]Halduron ( Read more... )

[The dragon mage appears in Vereesa's vision, thin lips lined with concern.]

She awakens!

[She jumps, slightly startled. That's right... Krasus was here as well. She feels a bit of guilt.]

With a greeting like that, I am afraid to ask how long I have been out.

Three days. [He holds a hand up, but senses no injuries he hasn't already healed. Well, that's a relief. He doesn't let it show in his expression for long, though.] Perhaps now you can properly speak of the madness that drove you to face Deathwing.

[In inward sigh. The last thing she needs is something else for allies to dwell on.]

There is little to tell, Krasus. [She moves to take a seat upon the bed behind her.] I was patrolling the area when he arrived. He was injured, and curiosity got the better of me, a mistake I will not make twice.

I hesitate to imagine if I had been but five minutes late.

[He's watching her, wondering why she was asleep for so long-- and also...]

Your mind has been somewhere else these past few days. Were you dreaming, or was it something else?

[She looks down, furrowing her brows. Everything is still a whirlwind of memories and feelings that she is still sorting out. She places a hand briefly upon her forehead before smoothing out her silver locks.]

It was far too real to be a dream. I was on Azeroth, and it was nothing like I had remembered.

[His stomach sinks through the floor. He had heard of such things...]

Dare I ask what happened?

[Her eyes lift to a thoughtful and yet pained look to Krasus.]

Are you aware of the extent to which Deathwing has destroyed Azeroth?

[That look carries so much meaning and yet her words chill him to the bone. He doesn't... remember Deathwing destroying anything recently. He's supposed to be dead, after all.

His eyes burn beneath the cowl. His voice is calm, too calm to be tranquil.]

What has he done?

[She would not believe it had she not seen the destruction left in his wake. Her voice is low, a hint of anger behind her words.]

He has returned. In his path he left scorched fields and countless burned to death. He tore the very ground apart. It was as if he would not rest until Azeroth was broken to his liking.

Such mad destruction...

[His mind is racing, trying to put the pieces together. Deathwing's wounds... Does he want to know? Does Krasus truly want to torture himself with information that is beyond his grasp?]

It seems that which we failed to destroy has returned. [There is true regret in his tone. He stops short of apologizing, however.] Is your family safe?

We are. The destruction has not reached Dalaran, thank the Light.

[A pause]

And of my sisters, there is still little to no word of them on Azeroth. [And what word she does hear of Sylvanas, spoken so harshly from the Alliance forces, it often pains her to hear.]
