Of course such things are always a possibility, but this world does not offer us much in the way of security-- only the promise of chaos and a need to adapt. War in such an environment is a poor choice.

I have no love of him, but I do know he keeps to himself and does not seek unnecessary conflict. To attack him would be provoking a monster, not to mention the lives it would put at risk.
I decided to go regardless to keep them safe, but it failed, and our allies suffered for it.
As nice as it would be to say an offensive stance is the best option, it is not. Forgiveness can mend, acceptance offers new perspective, and should they fail, only then should we rise to defend those in need.
