What you won't find is many relics of civilization - not that we've found, at least. There are ruins here and there, but remnants of towns, or present towns...? It seems like the one out there is the only one we've got.
There are big stone tablets out in the dead zone too. An area all full of them, but most of them are broken and can't be read. One is whole, though, and it has names inscribed on it - names of residents here. Everyone who's ever been here.
Tablets full of different generations of outworlders drawn in - sure. It could be possible. The journals definitely don't go back to holding where and when this place really began, and it seems like those oldest residents just weren't here when the first people arrived who have entries we can see.
Maybe the journals were simply a more recent addition. Although considering my relative status as "new" at the moment, I suppose I'm in no place to form theories at this time.
You'd expressed interest in mapmaking and exploration before. Are there any questions you have that still need answering, or things that haven't been fully explained?
There is, of course, a great deal that I don't understand at this point. The idea of mapping this world is certainly something that piques my curiosity. I have been wondering a great deal about the physical boundaries of Paradisa, and how far out from this point they lie. Is it known at all if there's anything past the Dead Zone?
There's a whole world out there, and more than likely it's huge. I know the first expedition made it to the shore before being pulled back to the castle... or sent back. And of course, in the dead zone, our precursors live, as well as some populations that might be native. And strange relics and constructions, though who knows if they're constructions. Given that we're in Paradisa, I think they might well have grown.
This is the first I've heard of a native population. I can't say that I was expecting that, though it certainly makes sense that this place is populated by more than just hostages.

So it's possible that the broken tablets document names before the time of the current residents?

... Did you hear that you were here before, by the way?

It's nice to meet you. Again.

Likewise. We only spoke fairly briefly before, I'll admit.

If I'm to believe what I've seen in the journal, I wasn't here for long before. I've already outdone myself by several weeks this time.
