It would seem that the residents were quite busy as of late... I must admit that I heard some of what occurred, but I do not know very much at all. [...a giggle. His tone almost implies that he knew entirely what was going on.]
I do hope that no one was gravely injured this time, however. It seems quite the uproar was caused.

That is not a child.]

You resemble Alexstrasza. Are you a friend of hers, perhaps?

How do I resemble her?
[... Maybe he means the elfness? Cloaked as he is, pointed ears are still obvious.]

[His smile widens, almost into a childish expression. It was always sort of funny when people tried to deny the things he could see - though it was entirely possible that the man was oblivious to it.]
Or is it that you do not wish to speak of it?

What is this creature? He feels... so...]
The Queen of Life knows my true nature and name, but for now I am Krasus.
Reply
If you are Krasus, then you may call me Pharos.
Reply
Pharos, then. You seem to find comfort in the presence of this tree. [As does Krasus. He's brought a book, too, though the title is written in a strange language.]
Reply
It is a comforting place, do you not think? [He lifts a hand, holding it out in front of his, and tilts it, gaze settled on it; as if he can see the energy in the area drifting between his fingers.
Which, granted, he can't. Not anymore. But he can sort of feel it.] It seems peculiar of me to say... but it feels very nice here.

This tree is more than a demonstration of her power. It is a piece of herself she gave freely to comfort the residents... [There is a certain fondness with which he speaks of 'her'...] Her very presence inspires life to flourish, and her touch banishes pain.
[He watches Pharos for a long moment...]
You sense it.
Reply
Of course I sense it. I believe most beings here, regardless of what they are, are able to sense it when they are in this place.
But of course, I would be able to sense it even if most beings could not; though the Castle has diminished that ability considerably.

That is unfortunate, but one does not always need to see things to know they exist.

[That's one of the things he likes about not having full access to his sight. The possibilities.]

[He's speaking from experience. He is old and tired, yes-- but he still feels young and learning when in the presence of certain mortals. Even in this place, he's begun to learn that his way is not the only way. Not the right way...]
The true nature of all things is not so simple that one can grasp it indefinitely and become bored by it.
[Deathwing's view of the world's true nature is wrong. No-- he has to think of demigods like Cenarius, who understand the nature of life and the birth and death of planets, and exist so serenely even while defending the world.]
Reply
But it makes the circumstances or the state of those worlds no less upsetting at times.
[And Pharos speaks of his own experience, there; the world that he has looked after the most. It was such a tiny thing, and yet no one seemed to want to live...
He hated all of them.]
Are you certain that is truly seeing all that there was, though? ...I cannot imagine most beings would enjoy a lifestyle like that.
