[ Yeah, Piper's pissed. Boats are not her thing. Waking up in a hammock is not her thing. Being on a freaking ship is not her thing.

She's up on the deck, arms crossed and frowning like a boss. She's observing the people on the shore. She's not liking it at all. ] I think I'd take to staying on the boat.

[Hinata's also on deck, observing the people on shore. Though it doesn't look good, she's trying to stay somewhat optimistic about the whole thing. Because it just can't be as bad as it looks, but...]

Mm, me too. Though I'm sure there's a reason for it, it... Doesn't seem all that appealing to meet them.

[ Piper breathes a sigh of relief - it's good to know someone else is thinking along the same wavelength as her. ] Unless I get confirmation they're not going to attack, I think I'm staying up here. Ship hate be damned.

What a way to wake up.

[She nods. While this entire situation seemed to be a misunderstanding. They had so little in the way of weapons while those islanders... Well, they'd probably win.]

That might be a smart idea. Plus, if too many of us head down there it... It could send the wrong idea to them.

Maybe overwhelm them to the point where we are speared. Much safer up here in my opinion.

I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that the castle is gone and in it's place is a ship. So, I think I'll stay up here and try and get acquainted with our new home.

... I hope it's not permanent.

Um, it shouldn't be... Most think this is just a world change, and that.. We should be back in the castle in a week or so. Any longer and I-I think the hammocks may kill us. [She smiles, trying to ease some of the gloomy air. Optimism! Gotta try and stay optimistic that this is all the castle's doing and that it'll be fine.]

But it is quite the change.. We'll just have to do our best to make the most of it.

Hammocks are nice for a warm, summers day, but on a ship? I'd take camping any day now. [ a beat ] World change? Then this is my first. Does the castle do many of these?

[ Jokingly: ] If I don't score myself some treasure, I'm going to be pissed.

[She laughs.] Is searching for treasure one of the pirate-y things to do, then?

And I...don't know. It's my first, too. But I don't think so... In about eight months, this...is the first.

It usually is in the movies. Buried gold and all those nice trinkets are all they're depicted to ever think about.

Well, at least we can experience this first together. I've been here over a month. And I fear that this isn't the worst thing the castle's cooked up.

Well, it would be fun if we got to try and find some treasure. And a little strange if we didn't, given how far the castle is trying to carry this...pirate theme.

[She shakes her head, though still smiling.] No... Sadly, this is one of the better things the castle has done...so far, at least. And we can. I-I think it's a first for most of this ship, too.

It's rather successful in keeping true to the theme. Keeping us happy? It could do with some work.

And hopefully this will be the last sailing trip I ever go on. I tend to hate the castle on a twenty-four seven basis, so everything it does tends to rate high on the annoyance factor for me. I'm Piper, by the way.

Hinata... It's nice to meet you.

[She sighs.] This is my first sailing trip, and... in Paradisa, I-I don't think I want to go another ever again either. Hopefully, this will be the last time for this... Even if it is different seeing the ocean.

Hinata - that's pretty.

There's only so much of the ocean you can take before you've seen it all. [ She laughs ] I'm not sure if it's a good thing as to whether or not you'll remember this trip when you go home.

[She blushes. No one ever says that.]

Um... Thank you?

I-I suppose I'll feel that way when this is over with. I think many of us might be glad to return to the castle after this. [If those angry islanders are any indication of how this trip is going to go.] But...I think it's a bad thing to not remember. Memories, no matter how bad, shouldn't be tampered with in such ways.

And that's why I'll still have a bone to pick with the castle, regardless of my gratitude of returning to it. Have you heard about losses?

sunnyheiress June 23 2011, 20:37:58 UTC
Mm, yes. It's hard not to, as it's one of the few things told to us when we arrive. Is your loss a memory?
