[Before doing anything else today, Alleyne is chewing on a fresh lime. She's a bit dehydrated; as to be expected with a hangover, and a bit of juice and tartness should cut the edge off of that. She tears off a little bite of seedy pulp for Jaina!bird, who's still sitting on her ear, happy as can be ( Read more... )

[he'll join her on deck, with a supply of firearms ready in case anyone shows up wanting to learn.

...and he might be dressed as a pirate, minus the facial hair and dreads

Let the laughter commence.]

[If Alleyne ever laughed or smiled, maybe.

Instead she's just going to blink. And stare. You're kind of reminding her of the time she FLARPed recently.]

Looks like we're all stuck in this garb.

[At least one of us is enjoying it.]

I'm not gonna be able to make soldiers out of them in a day, but if we've got a week like people have been saying... we can at least make some progress.

Unfortunately, where I come from, children fighting is not uncommon. Given the choice, I'd rather have them ready if someone tries to target them specifically, as I know some would, than leaving them hopeless while we're distracted.

...I do understand it can be a rough subject though for some.
