[Booth has his gun out, but he's trying not to fire it unless he has to. It doesn't have the accuracy of modern weaponry and he's not aiming to kill. Still, he's formidable enough, sticking to the edges of the fray and quickly dropping any wannabe attackers who come too close. He's looking to stay out of the worst of the riot, but he's not leaving yet. There were too many people on their ship who were not fighting types, and he wants to make sure they're clear.]
[And - yup, that's a fourteen year old girl knocking into your side, Booth, hands gloved in water as she gives you what can only be really called a worried and dubious look.]
What the hell are you doing?! [nevermind his no shooting policy. He can't dropkick anyone with her at his side, so he takes aim over her shoulder, shooting out the knee of one of the pirates that was getting too close for comfort. It's an ugly wound, but they're already moving and he doesn't have time to feel guilty for it]
[But there's no real aggravation in her voice -- tension, maybe, but she pulls her hand back and sweeps the feet out of two pirates with a thick whip of water.]
[Ashura has come down to make his way up to try and save who they can or take down the Captain. His ears ring with the retorts of guns and the clash of steel and he works his way up to Booth, throwing a small fireball at approaching enemies - it does not do much, but it is enough to make them momentarily pause.]
Nonsense. JS totally wants to be DBbeltbucklerebelJune 28 2011, 14:31:45 UTC
[Booth pauses long enough to give a grim, approving nod before focusing on the task at hand. He's not underestimating Ashura. Man or woman, he's seen excellent fighters of both genders. But, right now, none of them should be fighting alone]
[He shoots him a smile and lunges, thrusting his sword through a man without even blinking, pulling it out and slicing across the face of another and flicking fire at him.]
[Booth is still aiming to injure rather than kill. And while he's admiring the skill, there is a sense of restraint to his fighting. Even when one marauder manages to get past their combined skills, he drops him with a quick, vicious blow to the gut, followed by a strike that leaves the man unconscious, but still breathing...not that he lingers to check.]
[He admires his restraint. He could do that, but his blood his up and he has been in so many battles... as much as he dislikes slaughter, he would rather have an enemy down behind him for good than up and able to come back after him at an inopportune moment.]

I'm trying to make sure everyone is okay!

Hey, guys. How's it going over here?

It's not. Because we're getting out of here. NOW.
[here that tone, kids? That would be a military commander who expects to be obeyed.]

Managing to hold your own?

[not entirely true. An unorganized mob was still a mob. But it wasn't like fighting trained soldiers.]
[eying him with a sideways glance] You're from the Typhoon, right? Can you make it back to the ship alright?
[you, sir, look like a lady]

[He executes an advanced slicing maneuver that draws a scream of pain from several men.
And yes, he knows he looks like a woman. It is amusing at times, and right now it makes people underestimate him.]

Great... then we should do that.

[He snarled, spinning around and throwing a fireball, men screaming in pain as it burst in their faces and burned skin and hair.]

Remind me not to piss you off.
[not that he's any less deadly with that gun. It's just not quite as flashy]
