Last on this list is the man known as Legato. If you unaware, he is apparently an extremely strong telepath able to control the minds and bodies of his victims. There seems to be no sure estimate of his range, however the ruling opinion is that he might be able to be distracted via psychic attack. Long enough, hopefully, to subdue him.

Mr. Xavier has come at my request to help me test the theory that we might be able to shield the minds of others from Legato so they can approach close enough to attack. I can only the barest of ideas of how this might work, if at all. If any of you have any other ideas, please let me know.

Otherwise, I'll be testing this out after the meeting, if you wish to assist or observe.

Well I know how to block my own mind, believe me not even Legato could match up with my aunt on a bad day.

Really? Do you think you could teach such a technique to others?

I could try I suppose, but I can't promise how quick it will be.

Sadly, quick is what we need. A spell that can ward others would be easier, then it could be cast on the fighters and keep us out of direct combat. Unless you wish to be there, that is.

In any case, you would you be interested in testing that out later?

I'd be more than happy to assist in this. I'm curious to see how my ability can intermingle with magic, and how we might expand our defenses to cover both magical and non-magical people.

I would never ask you to expose yourself to danger if it can be helped. The interest here is in seeing if the possibility is even work entertaining, ultimately.

Um... I think I can provide a unique perspective on Legato. A few weeks ago I had an extremely strong premonition about Legato... he was controlling a mob of townspeople. He was forcing them to fight demons.

I didn't realize it at the time... I mean, it's only happened to me twice before, this hasn't happened in years. I think I have a Psychic Link with him... I've been having dreams [she pauses, letting everyone see how tired she really is] They're not mine. I haven't tried, but I might be able to see more if I concentrate...

So that's what that was. I had an encounter with Legato myself a fortnight or so ago, and when I searched his mind, I saw a presence within that not even he seemed aware of. It was much brighter than anything else I could find within him.

This link you have with him could be exactly what we need. If you're willing to explore it, that is.

I've used a link like this to my advantage before. If it will help take him down I will do anything it takes. I've seen things... horrible things. They need to be stopped.
