You know, I thought I was done with war. I’d done my duty, everything ended peacefully, and that was that. Now here I am again, fighting in another seemingly hopeless cause. Uses up some time, I guess.
There’s a lot of talk right now about preparing yourselves physically for this. But if you’re not ready for it in your head, then it’ll all be for nothing. A great man I know once said the thing about famous last stands is that you have to keep courage when the metal meets the meat. ...And be sure you’re the one holding the metal. That last part’s important. Regardless, the point is, you have to be prepared. As much as we'd all like this to end without bloodshed, sometimes it's just not possible. Especially when you're dealing with nutters.
...That was supposed to be something comforting and helpful but it got away from me a bit. Sorry. Ozzer was the 'go team' person, not me.
