[both monsters are revealed now, and the combatants are closing in. The monotonous sound of marching mobbing townspeople has broken up into explosive sounds of battle, little pockets of chaos erupting and beginning to break apart the steady progression of the crowd.

[ Joshua tilts his head curiously at that question. What happened to him? A second chance? Second hell? Thinking about it hurts his head, and he visibly flinches with a shake as he lowers his sword, seeming to stare right through the two benders.

Then he sneers, flicking his hand in invitation, voice once more gaining that devil's edge. ]

[that strikes a fear so deep and so suddenly in Zuko that he has no choice but to react-- instinctively lashing out at something that he doesn't want to be looking at anymore.

With a shout, he throws out an explosive bolt of flame at Joshua, not using any of his usual restraint. He's not aiming to fight a person; he's aiming to destroy a monster]

[ Joshua's own reaction is just as quick, a blast of violet energy being flung out in Zuko's direction the moment the other teenager attacks. In moments, the colorful blast of fire is preserved midair, and Zuko just next to it is nothing but a very detailed, and seemingly terrified, statue. ]

Too slow. This is no fun.

[Five saw the explosion as he'd begun to cut his way to Legato, and - well. as important as the telepath is, something like that is bound to be either his doing, controlling someone with powers, or an ally of his who could be troublesome later on. dropping any pretense he'd had of pretending to be amidst the mob, he RUNS toward the explosion]

[Eleven had been humming along when he saw the fireball. He was right alongside Five as they dashed towards that explosion.]

Whatever that was? NOT good! [running running running] I'm beginning to think I should've brought that sword after all --!

[Felix, who had managed to sneak a little closer to the conflict, notices the Doctors running towards him. He steps out of the alleyway, signaling them with a wave, and points up at the shattered remains of the clocktower]

I do hope you're referring to a proper sword, not that little plastic one.

[Glances over at Felix]

I believe that used to be the clock tower.

What caused it's anyone's guess, but my best one would be that Legato's pulling the strings of someone with enough power to do so - either with weapons or magic. ... You can't tell if it was magic from here, can you, Felix?

[Glances at Five] I can't be sure without seeing the source, but it felt similar...

[And quite suddenly, Katara is a panicked mess, whipping around to stare at the firebender from where she stands.]

[Her voice is loud, shrill.]

[ Joshua's just standing there, watching her little panic attack boredly. ]

Worried? He does nothing but complain about you. Then again, I guess you aren't any better.

Backstabbing hypocrites. Do you want to join him?

[Five comes skidding to a halt as soon as he sees this. Joshua?! but --- but HE JUST TALKED TO YOU. his name comes out as though someone punched him in the gut]

Oh, this is ... I told you to tell me if you needed help! [DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT]

[She stares at Five, still somehow sounding winded, before staring back at Joshua.]

Change him back! Fix him!

[Stops next to Katara, following her gaze. He recognizes the boy from when he tried to burn the ninth floor.]

No... [It takes him half a a moment to figure out what's going on, but he places a hand on her shoulder]

I think he's just frozen. Don't worry. We'll make sure he gets out safely.

[Looks over at Five, his face grim]
