Helloooo, Paradisa, and welcome to the first -- Issue? Edition? -- whatever, of ... what are we calling this?

I'm not calling it anything. "Things Ino Said and Sakura wrote about"?

That's the dumbest name I've ever heard of. ... But alright, it'll work until we think of a better one. Anyways, in honor of the summer, which will end pretty soon, we' ( Read more... )

[You know what ladies? James's respect for you both went down a little bit with this. Well, more his respect for Ino, at least Sakura was trying to be helpful. But still.

Bathing suits?]

Ladies, may I, inquire as to why this is such an issue? [Says the man who hasn't updated his sense of style since the early 1900's.]

Well, there are a lot of people here who don't go swimming very often, or don't know what to wear, for whatever reason. So it's helping people out, in case there's another beach party or something.

[There is a long pause here as he stares at the journal.]

...What makes you think someone would change into swimwear just to go to a party?

If it's a party at the beach, then wouldn't it make sense to wear something you can swim in?

You can just as easily swim in a shirt and pants, or just pants. It is just as easy and means you can ignore looking for and changing into swim wear.

But that's heavy, and it isn't very flattering to the body.

Who cares how it flatters your body if its practical? Besides not everyone who knows how to swim likes to swim.

Well, if you don't like swimming, I'm not saying you have to. But the whole point of going to a beach party is to look good while you're there.

[A long suffering sigh here.]

But a beach party is also a party yes? So is it not also, good enough to go just for the social aspect of it in clothing you are comfortable in?

I guess, if you really want to. But a lot of people don't just because they don't know how to wear a bathing suit, but want to wear one. And it would be a shame for them to miss out for such a silly reason, right?

If they are comfortable in whatever clothing they are wearing, even if it doesn't meet your, fashion standards and is quite the abomination to be seen, who cares? [Because he's gone through enough style changes to just deal with it. He doesn't even approve of tank tops.]

I'm saying that they do care and aren't comfortable.

I'm saying they don't care and are comfortable. I know I am when I go to a beach barefoot in pants and a shirt. [And he's now regretting saying that...]

So you know every person here and know that they all don't care?

I'm not saying you can't think that, just that there are people who think differently than you.

jamesholmes August 21 2011, 05:11:33 UTC
And there are people who think differently then you do. [He's not just arguing for fun here Ino, sometimes its fun to make others come to the conclusion on their own. Or you know its a subtle cry for help, that even James isn't aware he's dropping being stuck in the 1910's in terms of style.]

[alsdjasl yeah she's getting that feeling. she doesn't ... know the difference between 1910 or 2010, since she's not from Earth, but man who wears slacks to the beach]

Like I said.

But if you've never worn a bathing suit before, I'm not surprised.
