[Dictated in Italian.]

Can anyone tell me what exactly is going on? What happened to make everyone suddenly unable to communicate?

[Even he could gather that there was something allowing them to all communicate despite languages.]

Does anyone speak Italian here? Or French, perhaps?

Both, actually.

As for what is happening? I have heard that it is to do with the castle - apparently whatever allows us to communicate is currently nonfunctional.

This castle is full of surprises.

I suppose this forces us all to branch out, to speak with people simply because we share a common language.

That certainly is one way to look at it.

Perhaps that is what the castle wants. If it ever wants anything, that is.

My apologies, I have not introduced myself. I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and you are?

Helen Magnus; it's a pleasure to speak with you.

For me it still seems odd to hear of the castle itself having motivations, although I have yet to know of anything more plausible.

As with you, Miss Magnus.

It is odd, but I'm sure it's the only explanation we have right now.

And one can only hope that one day that may change.

May I ask as to where you're from?

Indeed.

Italy. I was born in Firenze, lived there until I was seventeen.

I presume that learning French came later?

Yes. There was a French girl I knew for a time. [A few actually, but that's no one's business.]

And what about you, Miss Magnus? Where are you from?

[ She smiled - the joys of learning a language with someone ]

England; Oxford specifically, although I have travelled frequently over the years.

[Or at least the joys of learning how to speak dirty to them in their own language!]

I hear England is beautiful. I haven't had the chance to visit, unfortunately.

[ She wouldn't know, she's a respectable lady... although Nikola did provoke the need to curse at him in Serbian ]

Unfortunately I am unable to return as frequently as I would like, but it is.

A pity, but I'm sure we are all experiencing that now. The desire to go home but the inability to do so.

In certain respects, yes. [ Although when you weigh up seeing James compared to having someone try to kill you... well... ]
