It helps to get out of the castle sometimes. Live in town, things can be more normal there, or go to the world outside.

Exploring some doesn't sound bad. Truth be told, I'm not used to staying in one place for too long either.

I don't know how much reading will help though. Every time I think I've got a handle on things, some new surprise appears from nowhere.

There's a lot of ground to cover if that's your preference, but to be honest, the best thing I think you can do for yourself is get used to being surprised again and again.

There are worse things. This world isn't all terrible, as much as some residents take it personally.

As for better, it kind of depends in what respect you're asking...

I can't argue that. As much as I don't like it in general, there's no one starving or dying of thirst, or being made into slaves. That already beats out where I'm from.

I guess the only way to put it, is to ask if you do get used to it? Having the world suddenly flipped on it's head and all. The surprises.

I think that it sort of pays to get used to that kind of thing no matter what world you're in.
