[Anya is looking very pretty, and her smile is very bright and she has her cards in front of her and she's ready to begin. She's made sure the journal is right beside her as well so that those that aren't even at the event can still write in their questions and be heard.]

Good evening from The Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, part of NYU here in Greenwich Village. I'm Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins fan of America and all things that are wholesome and good for me... [a pause] Oh! And you as well! Because you're what matters the people, and what you want should be important because everyone loves to be important...

[ realizes she needs to just stick to the cards so she reads off the cards]

Welcome to this first presidential debate. Tonight's debate is the only one with a town hall format. It is currently open to all voting members of Paradisa who are welcome to stay with us tonight. There are two microphones on either side of the stage [gestures much like Vanna White] and you are all welcome to approach the microphone and address the candidates with your question. Also [very formal] both candidates have been asked to keep their journals near them so that any resident currently not here can still be heard and ask their question through the journals.

Neither I nor the candidates have seen the questions, because you haven't asked them yet! [so proud of herself] I'm not sure how fast these guys can talk but we should get through a lot of questions and surely that should ensure that we have a wide-ranging discussion [a pause... because really the first debate only two days prior to voting?] ...two days before the election.

Each candidate will have two minutes to respond to a common question, and there will be a one-minute follow-up. The audience here in the hall has agreed to be polite, and attentive, no cheering or outbursts.

The only exception in the hall is right now, as it is my privilege to introduce the candidates, Sen. Nathan Petrelli of New York and Mister Harold Saxon of... [a pause - beneath his breath to the guys in the sound booth] where is this guy from? [waits for response] right.. right I suppose it's not important so close to the election, which why is it so close to- [clearly the guy in the booth tells her to stop questioning it and just get on with it, so she smiles brightly!]

So on with the questions! Please remember to state your name, and your question clearly so that both of the candidates can understand it and answer!
