I know the fact that they know the dinosaur guy is weird, but... There's nothing to say that they aren't real, that the people on the dinosaur island weren't real either. They could just be like us. They might be just like us, and we're too arrogant to know it. What if the worlds we're from are really just like this one, and we're background fixtures in the lives of other people? What if we didn't notice until everyone around us disappeared...?
This is why the residents of City Royale and the people we meet during these world changes are just as important as you or me. There's so much we don't know and never will. To assume that people are just puppets of the castle is just like saying their lives aren't worth anything, that there aren't going to be any consequences if they die. It's not true! You can't use a label like "puppet" or "fake" or "copy" on a human being and just walk away without caring.
Because they're alive. They have thoughts, and they have emotions, and they have their own memories that we'll never know anything about.
And if that isn't what existing is, then none of us were ever really born.
