Lente's Point Expedition - Day 1

[The sound of a pair of TARDII warping in disturbs the bucolic peace of this place. The doors come open and the travelers, some perhaps a little worse for the wear after that abrupt trip, walk out into the morning sunshine.

[Violet is starting a detailed map once they've started trekking. Each section has its own page about the different types of things. She's taking everything in. Drawing, noting, doodling, making footnotes, looking up periodically and making sure to keep up with the group. Oh, how exciting. She's even started collecting some of leaves to tape into the notebook later.]

It's 2010 back home for me. A lot has change since 1935.

Koromaru. [ and he barks happily. he hasn't been able to hang around with girls in a while. :( ]

Was it because of their jobs?

Wow. Klaus would certainly like to talk to you. He's my brother.

Hello, Koromaru. [She grins again at the dog. It's been awhile since she got to play with an animal. A vipor was her last.]

Oh, no. They travelled for fun. [They were really, really, really, insanely rich like that.]

Is he here, too? Or are you alone? [ pause. ] Oh, I'm Akihiko.

Sounds like fun. I've never traveled out of Japan.

Neither him nor my sister are here. [She looks down. Alone is a scary word and she really didn't like it. She does curtsy though.] Violet Baudelaire.

I was supposed to go to Peru once. The only traveling I did of any capacity was around New England in the United States.

[brbfisting]

[ he nods his head, kind of surprised by the curtsy. so fancy... ]

You didn't go to school or anything?

It's a pleasure to meet you as well.

Oh, we did. Until our parents died. Even after, we went to a Prep school for a little while.

[brbfisting]

[ pause. ]

Sorry to hear that. [ koromaru whines quietly and akihiko stuffs his hands into his pockets. ]

It's quite all right. [She offers a friendly sort of sad smile to not dog and master.] I've never been to Japan before. Though I suppose it's very different from 1935 Japan.

[brbfisting]

I'd say I understand but I don't actually remember my parents well.

Yeah, the technology is way more advanced.

That's how I think Sunny will be. I am sorry to hear about yours though.

I'm jealous, I admit. I had to work with wiring and saudering to get what I needed.

Sunny? Is he or she another sibling of yours? Ah... it's alright. [ he had grown past it years ago, to be the "adult" for his sister. ]

You'll probably get a chance to use the stuff back in the castle while you're here. It's not too complicated. Although some of it is a little outdated itself.

She. She's the youngest. Not yet three. [Violet can relate to being the adult. Though Klaus had to grow up to soon as well.]

I saw. I dismantled a microwave yesterday.

[brbfisting]

[ sisters. :( ] You must miss her.

[ blinks. ]

That thing is always getting wrecked or dismantled.

I miss them both. They're all I had the past two years.

[She laughs.] I could tell.

[brbfisting]

Well, these expeditions are for learning more about the land and trying to find a way back. We will find a way home. [ he says this rather boldly. ]
