[he's been there for some time, hunkered up in one of the comfortable lobby chairs as if he's perched precariously on the triggerplate of a sharp-jawed trap-- flipping neurotically through the pages of the journal, his one eye occasionally darting up to glance around the expansive room, just waiting for something to make sense.

[Is walking by even though technically he's a teleporter and doesn't NEED to walk anywhere, don't question it..]

[But he'll definitely stare a bit as he passes this guy. What a creepy boy...]

[seeing someone else, the boy immediately freezes in his page-flipping and just... watches, with one very wide and tense eye.]

[He'll meanwhile be staring back]

Uh...hi?

[still looking as though he expects to be assaulted at any moment, he does manage to lift a few fingers in a tentative returned greeting]

[oh, he loves the smell of human suffering in the morning... especially when that smell is coming from someone he hasn't met before. it's a new adventure, some new potential. got to stay sharp, after all--the middle of the week is always kind of slow.

so he wanders towards this new guy, not looking the least bit shy or hesitant.]

Hey there. You new around here?

[the kid tilts his head back a little, wary but maybe more like considering, as this guy approaches. Just watching him with excruciating care, until he gives a faint little nod]

[he stops a few feet away. probably a little too close. he seems relaxed, but fairly investigatory himself. there's a lot to look at, after all.]

What's your name?

[the only sign of his opinion on the other's proximity is the fact that he hasn't moved an inch; all of him is held quietly poised-- just in case.

By the slight narrowing of his eye, it's clear that he understood the question, but he doesn't answer.]

[ ....Adel has no social skills and even he thinks you're a little odd there buddy. He's a little sweaty and worn-out looking from trying to drag a boulder across the front yard but more or less in good spirits.

There's something about this kid though :|a he's not sure what it is ]

[there is one keen blue eye on you the instant you come into view, friend--not blinking if he can help it--silently tense and unabashedly suspicious. He pauses with one page half-turned between his fingers, just watching you]

[well that is... a less threatening reaction than he was concerned about. He's still suspicious, but Coil leans his head back a little and his brow quirks, a little more questioning now. What are you looking freaked out for, friend?]

[and this slightly unkempt scarred-up boy freezes where he's flipping through his journal, glancing up to keep his one eye on her. Just watching her and waiting.

It's not creepy behavior at all. really.]

[he's getting that reaction a lot around here, it seems. Still keeping his eye on her, he taps his journal with a finger and nods]
