Waiting for the other groups to get there. Hope they aren't late!

Ino waved at him from across the room with a small smile, glad to see him. Even if they weren't best friends or anything, she felt she knew Yuan's capabilities pretty well, and trusted him to be helpful and that he would do what was best for everyone in terms of planning and organizing, which was something she really needed. She certainly wasn't as apt as Shikamaru at making plans and thinking so many steps ahead ... so she hoped that the strategists would be able to cover what she couldn't.

Yuan nodded to her politely, and made his way over. "It looks like a good turnout so far," he noted. "Nice to see so many people willing to make themselves useful in a crisis like this." Now it just remained to see how useful they would actually turn out to be.

"Mm," she nodded in agreement. They did have quite a few people showing up. "I'm really glad that people really .... listened, when I said something." And she was extremely grateful - she knew there was no way she could have taken Riful and Arthas and the rest on her own, as tempted as she was.

As for if they'd actually prove useful, well. Ino was prepared to whip them into shape as best she could.

The elf walks in, in her usual skimpy attire, it clean and neat upon her. Around her belt is several freshly tied bolas and several pouches packed full. Today she's opted for bringing a quarterstaff in with hard, rounded wood and metal caps instead of her usual weapon.

There's the usual fierce determination in her eyes, accompanied by a familiar lineface. She nods to everyone and takes a seat, hands on knees, snorting a bit. Her ears are stiff and alert, giving her a commanding presence.

Ino will nod to Alleyne when she comes in. She's not as familiar with her, so there's less to talk about, but she approaches anyways.

"Ready for today?"

Given her title here and home, that is probably the most obvious question one could ask her, but she'll nod and reply politely.

"I'm always ready. I just hope they all are, too. If not, they'll have to be."

Hinata walked in to the ballroom, probably a tiny bit later than others, and stifling a yawn with one hand. But at least she was clean from all the dirt she'd managed to gather on her little trip away. It was just that timing was never on her side and she was slightly out of practice when it came to roughing it for days at a time while trying to manage a quadruped.

But she came. Because she said she would.

Ino was surprised to see Hinata as early as she was; after all, if it were her, she'd probably have taken a least a little bit longer to wash off and all that.

Either way, she approaches with a grateful smile, glad to see her back and in one piece.

"Hey, Hinata-chan!"

After living with her family and on their schedule, Hinata had become an expert at speed-cleaning. Plus, she could always take a longer one after this finished.

"Hello, Ino-chan! So, um, what did you have in mind for today?" She faced Ino with a smile of her own.

Hinata, your logic is supreme. Unfortunately, Ino's doesn't always make a lot of sense.

"Well, since there's a lot of groups showing up, I was hoping everyone here could take one or two and just talk to them, work out who could be on teams together, so on and so forth." She knew that Hinata could take on a position of leadership if she wanted to .... the question was if she wanted to. "If you don't want to man a group by yourself, I can help you."

She turned the clipboard to show Hinata the different group sections so she could choose. "Practice for being a jounin, right?" she joked.

She looked over the various groups and writing on the clipboard, taking note of how similar this was to back home. Intel, short-range, strategy... For a moment she even wondered if they would do this back home in preparation for the war.

"Right...for being a jounin." She offered a wan smile at that thought. Even for a chuunin, these were fairly basic things. Separating people into proper groups, teamwork exercises, teaching, occasionally manning a group...

Manning a group. Ino had said that, right? She swallowed hard at that thought; sure she wasn't the shy, insecure girl she was at twelve, but... This was serious. This was for a future fight where people could die. And she knew she wasn't the best leader.

Yet she wanted to try. She really did.

"Um, I...I wouldn't mind doing that. Working with a couple of people and helping them through some teamwork exercises."

Felix is here, though he seems less than pleased about it. To tell the truth he was nursing a terrible headache as a result of drowning his sorrows after Ashura had been trapped inside a gem a few days ago. And yes, he might had a little more this morning to take the edge off. Cursed castle and it's timing...

Ino spotted Felix arriving pretty quickly, and as she went to approach, her brow lifted and her nose wrinkled a little bit. Really? Showing up drunk to practice?

She'll try not to let her initial impression ruin the teamwork they need to succeed here, but if he kept showing up like this, she was already mentally writing up the scolding he was going to get.

"... Hello?"

He was only a little drunk. Honestly. And he'd gotten plenty of practice in holding his liquor back in the Mirador.

Felix notices her look of disapproval. A surge of petulant anger boils up in his throat. How dare she judge him? He was here, wasn't he?

Rather than snap at her, he does what he is sure she wouldn't expect. He lifts his chin, conjuring up the brightest smile he could manage, though it doesn't quite reach his eyes, and answers cheerfully, "Yes, my dear?"
